Group Description
The current In Christ Alone Ministry at USC was founded in the fall of 2004. At that time, we were known as the Navigators at USC, a group that had a history at USC stretching back to the 1970s. Our director, Joseph Min Ahn, had been on staff with the Navigators for more than thirty-five years. In 2006, we were blessed off from our affiliation with the Navigators to become our own ministry, working very closely with our local White Harvest Evangelical Church, which is a five-minute drive away from USC. Though we still teach, disciple, and minister according to our classic Navigator roots, the name “In Christ Alone” was chosen as an expression of our desire not to put our hope or confidence in any organization, methods, trends or people, but in the person of Jesus Christ Himself.
Through the many generations of ICA at USC, we have become a community of disciples of Christ, seeking to draw near to Him and to make His love known in our world. Open to anyone searching for answers about God or students of the Bible, we believe that God’s calling for us isn’t just for us to become believers or churchgoers, but passionate followers of Him that walk with Him closely by faith and long to see His kingdom come in our lives and in our world. We hope that each person will grow as a disciple of Christ, learn to make disciples of Christ in turn, and even be send forth as lifetime laborers in His harvest fields. Join us as we draw near to Him through one-to-one discipleship, small group Bible studies, large group fellowship, praise and prayer nights, conferences, special events, training programs, missions projects, and fun activities of many kinds! Fight on!
