Who We Are

College students are a significant part of our church family.  It's in our DNA.

College students lead worship, serve our neighbors, teach children and youth, and encourage the church to grow in our faith. Many students choose to make a commitment to Gateway as College Covenant Partners.

We meet on Slippery Rock University’s campus every Sunday at 11am. Many students are involved with our SRU campus ministry, The Harbor.

Grove City College students are also part of Gateway, serve in various ministries, and are involved in discipleship with our staff. We also help train GCC student Bible study leaders.

• GRACE OF GOD: God's grace through Jesus Christ is the basis and power for salvation, for our personal lives, for our ministry and for our relationships with one another. 
• COMMITMENT TO GOD AND HIS WORD: Our desire for individuals in the church family is that they will be marked by a wholehearted devotion to God - through prayer and by studying, obeying and teaching His Word. 
• CHURCH: The church is a community of believers and is God's vehicle for accomplishing the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19, 20). Through the church people are won to Christ. Within the church believers are built up to maturity and leaders are raised up. The church is responsible for preparing teams to start new churches. 
• LOVE AND UNITY: We desire our ministry to be marked by a Christ-like, selfless love, loyalty and unity with fellow believers.  
• RAISING GODLY FAMILIES: Strong families are foundational for strong churches. Therefore we make it our priority to help members build their marriages and families. 
• EVERY MEMBER A MINISTER: All Christians are empowered through the Holy Spirit to be workers in the church. Therefore we seek to equip each member to utilize his/her spiritual gifts in serving others.
