Who We Are
We meet at 4 pm on Sundays at the Central Christian Church, on the corner of 12th and Guadalupe near downtown Austin (1110 Guadalupe St).
What We Do
We believe in the importance of meeting together to study the Word, pray and worship our God! Here are some ways we do that:
SUNDAY SERVICE
Each week, we gather together to worship at two separate sites for three Sunday services. Our Fenway site (9:30am) is located in the Fenway/Mission Hill area and our Comm Ave site (9am & 10:30am) meets right near Boston University.
ENCORE
On Friday nights, we unite as a Symphony college community to worship, hear a message, and fellowship together at Match Charter Public School (1001 Commonwealth Ave). Encores are from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
FAMILY GROUP
Family Group is our small group ministry, as well as the heartbeat of our church. Together we worship, study God’s Word, and enjoy fellowship with one another as we strive to build one another up in faith. We have family groups meeting on the various campuses in the Boston area.
What We Believe
Every church puts the gospel on display in unique ways as God shapes a community around the message of Jesus and His kingdom. That is what we mean by “DNA.” It’s who we are and what we do. Our central aim is to understand the gospel in all its fullness and apply the gospel to all of life. This means we long to be the kind of people who have firsthand knowledge of Jesus and can talk about Him with sincerity, who experience the love of Christ through each other, and who are compelled by the love of Christ to live for others. Our vision of gospel-centrality has three distinct expressions: gospel, community, and mission.
GOSPEL
The Gospel is a message that is to be preached or proclaimed (Mark 1:14; Acts 14:21). It is the good news that God has acted in history to conquer evil and reconcile sinners to himself through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus (1 Cor. 15:1-12). It is the redemptive story of creation-fall-redemption-consummation. A gospel-centered church is one where the gospel is proclaimed clearly, consistently, and compellingly (1 Cor. 9:16-23).
COMMUNITY
The gospel is not just a message to be believed, but a power to be experienced (Rom. 1:16). The gospel shapes a new community as those who were formerly God’s enemies are reconciled to Him (Rom. 5:10) and adopted into his family (Gal. 4:4-7). A gospel-centered church is not a place, but a people - a community that is continually being reformed and renewed by the power of the gospel (Col. 1:6).
MISSION
The gospel is a call to action – a declaration that “the kingdom of God is at hand” (Mark 1:15). God is not just interested in the salvation of humans, but in the restoration of all of creation to its original “good” (Gen. 1:31; Rom. 8:19-22). A gospel-centered church is active in the work of mercy, justice, and cultural renewal, praying and working against the effects of sin so that God’s will might be done “on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10).
