any material or content that infringes and/or violates any right of a third party (including its intellectual property and proprietary rights), or any law;
any harassing, slanderous, libelous or derogatory information or content, or
any advertisements for products or services, “junk mail”, spam, chain mail, pyramid schemes, or other form of commercial or illegal solicitation;
No Commercial Uses. You agree not to use the Site for commercial purposes of any kind;
No Harm to Minors. You agree not to harm, or attempt to harm, lure or deceive minors in any way;
No False Identity. You agree not to create or use a false identity for the purpose of misleading others;
Do Not Collect or Store Personal Data. You agree not to collect or store personal data about other users, unless provided to you directly by that user or in your Send Group Dashboards;
No Virus or Disabling Software. You agree not to post or distribute any software or other materials that contain a virus, worm, trojan horse or other harmful or disabling code or component;
No Interference with the Site or Service. You agree not to interfere with, or disrupt, the operation of the Site and/or the Service, or with servers or networks connected to, or used in connection with the operation of the Site.
Obey Requirements. You agree not to disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations established by the owners or operators of any networks, hardware, or software connected to, or used in connection with the operation of the Site, or any requirement that we post on the Site.
Respect Privacy of Others. You must respect the privacy of others. You agree not to post or disclose phone numbers, addresses, or any other private information, relating to any other person.
I. Truthful Participation and Assumption of Risk in Interactive Communications.
Through our Site, you may participate in a number of interactive communication activities including chat, social posts, Forums, message boards, email, VOIP, video conference and other means of interactive communication with other participants (“Interactive Communication”). We cannot be, and we are not, responsible for the content, opinions or accuracy of any information provided or posted in any Interactive Communication. You participate at your own risk when engaging in any activity relating to the Site and/or the Service (including any Interactive Communication). Defamatory, libelous, slanderous or disparaging of, or insulting to, any person, group or entity; abusive or hateful; obscene, lewd, or vulgar; or contrary to, or inconsistent with, the principles, tenets, Belief Statement or Mission Statement of Our Organization,
Any harassing notes, postings or Interactive Communications that might be construed as stalking, or any postings that might otherwise be illegal or relate to illegal activity, any such harassing content or communications will be deleted and may be made available to the proper law-enforcement officials. While we reserve the right to remove any posting, we shall have no obligation to do so.

Our Organization provides general information regarding spiritual matters and religious questions through the Internet and Ministry Response Center Volunteers. We make this information available solely for informational and educational purposes. Please be aware that the information is not prepared by licensed counselors, medical or mental health professionals and it is not provided as medical, mental, or other professional advice. You should not use or rely on any information or advice provided by Our Ministry or any Volunteer in lieu of medical, mental health, physical or other professional assistance or counseling. From time to time, we or other users may provide or post links on the Site that will allow you to connect with web sites of third-parties that are not under our control. EveryStudentSent.org (“ESS Site”) is an online platform developed and operated by Campus Renewal connecting students, parents, high school administrators (collectively referred to as “Requestor”) with each other, high school youth group leaders(collectively referred to as “Youth Ministries”), and Christian college focused church and parachurch ministries (hereafter “Campus Ministries”). Use of this Service to connect Requestors, Youth Ministries and Campus Ministries is voluntary and offered at no charge.
(a) How the ESS Platform Works
The ESS Site is an online platform for Requestors, Youth Ministries and Campus Ministries. We do not endorse, hire or employ the Youth Ministries or Campus Ministries nor are we responsible or liable for any interactions involved between Youth Ministries or Campus Ministries and their respective Requestors or between ESS Members. The ESS Site enables Requestors to view the list of Youth Ministries or Campus Ministries and contact specific ministries of interest.
In order for Requestor to use the platform to contact other ESS members (Requestors), Youth Ministries or Campus Ministries, the Requestor must register and create an account on the ESS Site. In order for a Campus Ministry or Youth Ministry to be added to the Campus Ministries list, they must successfully create an account and create a group on the ESS site or be added by an approved governing Campus Ministry. You may use some of our Services at no direct cost. However, in order to access additional features and Services, including the ability to search for and contact Campus Ministries (as a Requestor), Youth Ministries or be included on the Campus Ministries list, you must become a registered Member. By becoming a Member, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current and complete throughout your use of the Services. A Member may not have more than one active account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and your access to our Services for any reason.

We are committed to protecting and appropriately handling private and personal information and take your privacy very seriously. We are publishing this Privacy Statement to let you know how we collect, process, use and share your personal information.

2. How we use your personal information.
We will generally only collect and use your personal information when it is necessary to achieve our legitimate interests of fostering spiritual growth, which includes providing spiritual guidance, coaching, events, meetings, and Digital Tools. We may also use your personal information when it is needed to provide you with goods or services, or to process donations or to comply with our legal obligations.
3. How we collect personal information.
We obtain personal information about you via:
direct interactions: when you enquire about our activities, engage in an activity with us, make a donation, register through one of our sites or at an event, or otherwise give us your personal information. If you meet with us for discipleship or spiritual advice, we may take confidential notes for spiritual guidance and support. If you prefer that we do not take notes, please let us know. The information you disclose is entirely at your discretion.

4. Types of personal information that we collect.
We collect the following types of personal information:
contact details including email address, postal address, email, telephone number and instant messaging details;
demographics including information that allows us to better understand who you are and the services in which you are most interested;
financial data including bank account and payment bank details when paying for products or making a donation;
financial transaction data including details about payments and donations from you and details of products and services you have purchased from us and activities you have participated in;
historical transaction data including communication history, your past donations, purchases, applications and interactions with us;
identity data including name, high school and/or college attended, date of birth, gender and other information in your profile tabs in Every Student Sent;
information about beliefs and circumstances including religious information; information you disclose about your personal circumstances;
location data that is information about your physical location, including IP address, and lat/long coordinates and country of origin (where applicable);
marketing and communication data including your preferences in receiving marketing from us and communication preferences;
requests and preferences including communication preferences, your interests and prayer requests;
security credentials including username and password;
system data including information about how you use our Digital Tools;
5. How/when we disclose personal information.
Generally, we will not disclose or share your personal information (including your email address) with anyone outside our organization without your permission. You have control over what aspects of your profile are shared and with whom inside the Site through your privacy settings in the Every Student Sent platform. You also have control over how public you want any of your posts inside the Site to be. However we may need to use or share your information with our partners and agents who provide goods and services to you on our behalf. Your information may be disclosed:
to public or regulatory authorities;
to ministries or churches who referred you to Every Student Sent as you indicate when you register or in the Site or respond to a member’s invitation to join the site;
to third party service providers, including:
cloud service providers for the hosting of our apps and sites;
direct and email marketing service providers we use to communicate with you; and
companies that assist us in processing your donations.
We take steps to safeguard your information and we have contractual provisions requiring all third party service providers to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with our data protection policies and all applicable laws. We will not allow third party service providers to use your personal information for their own purposes and they will only be allowed to process your personal information in accordance with our instructions.
6. Your Rights.
a. Editing and updating personal information.
If you find that your personal information needs to be edited or updated, you can change your personal information directly on the Site. Our Digital Tools offer different options for you to access, change, and modify the information you previously provided, such as your member profile (for registered users only), email address, or mobile number.
b. Accessing personal information.
You can request details of your personal information we hold using the request information tool inside your profile on the Site.
c. Deletion of personal information.
At your request, we will delete your personal information if:
it’s no longer necessary to retain your personal information;
you withdraw the consent which formed the basis of your personal information processing;
you have successfully objected to the processing of your personal information (see below);
your personal information was processed unlawfully; or
we are required to delete your personal information to comply with our legal obligations.
In general you can delete anything in your profile at anytime on your own simply by logging into the Site. Because we give you that freedom of control you are primarily responsible for deleting information you would like deleted. If there is a need for us to delete something you can’t access, we will review requests on a case by case basis and we might not be able to comply with your request if we need to process your personal information:
for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information;
to comply with our legal obligations;
to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim; or
to perform a task in the public interest.
If this is the case, we will notify you of the reasons why your request was rejected.
d. Restriction of processing of personal information.
You have the right to request us to limit the processing of your personal information if:
you dispute the accuracy of your personal information;
your personal information was processed unlawfully and you request a limitation on processing, rather than a deletion of your personal information;
we no longer need to process your personal information, but you need your personal information in connection with a legal claim; or
you object to the processing of your personal information based on our legitimate interests pending verification as to whether we have an overriding legitimate ground for such processing.
To the extent needed, we may still keep some of your data to ensure we comply with your request to limit processing, or for other legal purposes.
e. Withdrawing consent.
We primarily rely on legitimate business interests to process your data, but to the extent we use consent to process your data, you have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given us at any time. We will comply with your request promptly.
If you withdraw your consent, we might not be able to provide some of our products and services to you. At any point, you have the right to object to processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes and we will promptly comply with your request.
We have put in place appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from being accidentally lost, misused or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. These include technical, administrative and physical security measures to ensure that any information we collect is stored and processed securely.
For example, for Digital Tools that require personal or sensitive data to be collected or displayed, a Secured Socket Layer (SSL) connection is required, to ensure that the data is encrypted as it is transferred to the browser. All credit card payments are processed using PCI compliant technology, to ensure that your credit card number is securely passed to the merchant/service provider. We do not store your credit card details.
We cannot guarantee that the security measures we implement in connection with the operation of the site will absolutely prevent others from accessing or acquiring any information that you provide while using the site. You can help us protect your personal information by properly protecting your password and remembering to sign out of your account and close your browser window when you finish visiting our site, especially if you are on a shared or public computer.
